“Red City” 2010

Red City

I love where I live, the City of Minneapolis, and I am drawn to the look and shape of buildings and skylines. My brother is a fabulous architect so maybe this is a family thing. I have added some torn tissue buildings to the foreground as well as some of the bird cloud images from “Dreaming of Flight”. In this work I use torn tissue, printed images, water color paper embedded with leaves, water colors and acrylic paints. I am continuing to explore possibilities of mixed media.
