I have been making art using memories and feelings from dreams and my life and childhood.\u00a0 Turtles, fish and other natural images continue to inspire me. \u00a0I love painting and looking into an imaginary world. \u00a0This is part of a series I’m working on about the language of clams. \u00a0The characters in the piece are derived from shapes on the shell of Lioconcha hieroglyphica, a South Pacific Clam. \u00a0It looks like writing and made me wonder what their language would look like, or feel like (happy of course). This image is made from acrylic crackle paste, paint, gels and glazes with gold acrylic appliqu\u00e9s made with a stencil from the shapes on the clamshell.
